It’s difficult to explain who you are to someone in just a couple of sentences.
So instead of listing a series of accomplishments, I thought I’d share a couple of things with you that will give you a better idea of who I am and how I can (potentially) help you in your practice.
Lea Al Matny, DDS, MS

I am an oral and maxillofacial radiologist on a mission to help clinicians maximize benefits from digital radiographs.
What kind of benefits?
- Eliminate the risk of interpretation errors.
- Increase credibility and achieve a higher treatment acceptance rate.
- Save time by simplifying CBCT interpretation.
My favorite part of it all has been helping clinicians create a positive impact on patients’ treatments.
How it all started
My passion for dentistry began as a young teenager. I used to spend every afternoon in my parents’ practice where I finished homework around patients in the waiting room. I was always affected by the close relationship my parents had with their patients. This motivated me to earn my Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Lebanese University in Beirut, Lebanon.
I, then, completed my residency training at the University of Texas Health in San Antonio (UTHSA) where I also received a Master’s in Dental Science.
During those three years, I focused on refining my interpretation method, rendering it clinically relevant to address the purpose of the imaging method while including incidental findings. I also concentrated on research, where my thesis study was focused on the effect of three-dimensional imaging in diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment planning of invasive cervical root resorption.
We weren’t serious the whole time…
How SeeThru Reports Can Help You
Today, I focus on helping clinicians become more efficient in reaching a diagnosis and achieving a higher treatment acceptance rate by extracting appropriate data from CBCT scans.
I am an advocate of using three-dimensional imaging to properly diagnose before deciding on a treatment plan. I aim to provide a report that simplifies the way you approach a case and helps you gain confidence in reaching a clinical decision.
When you work with me, you’re working with me, plain and simple. It allows me to do the work I love and deliver a service I’m proud of…

I am also lucky to act as the Clinical Education Specialist at Carestream Dental where I serve as a consultant, educator and instructional expert in clinical affairs.
Because of this, I get to share knowledge around the country alongside remarkable speakers on the importance of incorporating digital imaging in their workflow and developing a systematic interpretation method to increase diagnostic accuracy.
