Dr Salim Aqil, DDS MS

Dr. Aqil is a native of Orange County, California where he attended the University of California, Irvine for undergraduate and received a degree in Electrical Engineering. He received his D.D.S. degree from the University of California, Los Angeles. 

He went on to complete an AEGD residency at Naval Medical Center, San Diego and worked as a general dentist for the United States Navy for five years.  He subsequently went on to complete a residency program at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio where he was awarded a certificate and Master’s Degree in Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology.

Currently, he serves as the Chair of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology division at Naval Medical Center, San Diego.    He is a member of the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology, the ADA, and the American Society of Head and Neck Radiology. Dr. Aqil is board certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology.

In his leisure time, Dr. Aqil enjoys watching basketball & tennis, traveling, and playing golf with his kids.
